What a Lovely and Fun Day

My Loving husband and I had a wonderful day today. He took me to the Japanese Garden. The Autumn colors were beautiful and the sunlight perfect. I took 200 pictures and I am happy with about half of them. It is hard for me to delete them though. It is a good thing that my computer has lots of memory.

Autumn Leaves

Last year I noticed a fence with beautiful leaves on it, but I didn't have my camera. I told myself I would come back the next day and get pictures. Well that night we had a very windy night and the next day when I went back most the beautiful leaves were on the ground blowing around and my picture was gone. This year I did not forget and I got some pictures.

Autumn colors are just so beautiful!

Autumn Is My Favorite Time of Year

I love Autumn, I love the colors, I love how the air feels. The world is getting ready to rest. It is the time of year to tuck your garden in for the Winter too. I love making Chicken stews, Beef Stews and bisquits this time of year. I cleaned my fireplace out last week in anticipation of the nice fires we will be sitting by this Autumn and Winter. I actually bought the fixing for hot chocolate the last time I went shopping too. I will be getting out with my camera every chance I get of course. I am hoping to capture lots of Autumn photos. These were taken on a couple of outings that my loving husband and I went on. I have noticed that the squirrels are really busy. Does that mean we are going to have a rough Winter???

Weddings

My loving husband and I went to a wedding this last weekend. My daughter, her husband and their children were all involved in this wedding. It was a fantastic wedding. I took over two hundred pictures. The wedding was outside and the reception inside. We had a great time dancing the night away. My husband who I have not danced with in a long time, danced with me. I forgot how he danced. When he danced everyone around started laughing. My daughter was hysterical with laughter. All I could say was have you ever seen a baby bird on the edge of a nest flapping its wings and unsteady on its feet, well that is close to what he looked like. He was a good sport about the whole ordeal too. We all had fun.

Full Moon

I haven't posted in a while, I have been very busy. I am trying to find myself, ha! ha! I am trying new things. I actually got my hair cut and styled today. I have not had that done in 20 years. I like it. The style will take a little more upkeep, but I am trying to take better care of myself. Someone once told me that I needed to take care of myself because nobody else will. I find that a lot of women get so caught up in taking care of others that they put off taking care of themselves, me included. I decided it is my turn now. I am glad too, I feel good about my decision. Now the challenge is to stay balanced.
I was looking out the window tonight and grabbed my camera and went outside. The moon is full and I had to try and get some pictures of it. Here are a couple I thought were worth sharing. You can actually see some of the craters.

A Trip to The Coast

I truly believe that if you have to drive more than 1 1/2 hours that you are going on a trip. My loving husband has a friend with a house at the coast so he got permission to use it for the weekend. Yes you guessed it I brought my camera.
I thought it was very nice of this Bumble Bee to sit still for me. The weekend was really nice and relaxing even though it was a bit drizzly and foggy.
We had three nice walks on the beach where I got my feet and cuffs of my pants wet, oh well, it was fun and a little cold.
To get to the beach we had a walk of about a city block and walked down a nice little lane that has several bunnies that live around it. They are so very cute and the houses are well kept. This next shot was in the front yard of one home.

These next shots are on the deck or from the deck of where we stayed.

What a nice weekend we had. Going to the beach is always nice.

An Expedition on Elk Island

So now I have the photography bug, and I don't think there is a cure for it. My loving husband went for another walk with me. Since it was a path through trees, up and down hills, over downed trees, I will call it an expedition. An expedition for the purpose of taking pictures. Again I took lots of pictures in the hopes that some would make me happy. I had a few that did just that.

An Evening Walk

While I was taking these two pictures of a rose bush in my backyard I got the urge to take more pictures. I asked my loving husband if he would go for an evening walk with me. He agreed and brought his camera also. We ended up down by the river. My husband recently bought my camera for me and I am still learning how to use it. While taking these pictures we were loosing light so I was making all kinds of adjustments and not all of them were good. I ended up with just a few pictures to share with you. These are the ones that turned out and that I am happy with.

Just by chance when I was aiming my camera at the reflection on the water a flock of geese flew by and I got this picture. I am happy with this one also.
